When good friend bought a house, it needed more than a little sprucing up…it needed a total overhaul! The existing house was a flat, lifeless, pink brink colonial, with an overgrown front yard, and dated interior. This would not do!
We leaned into the colonial essence of the shell, and added a full-width front porch, added three dormers to the new habitable attic, and one more dormer over the garage bonus room.
The existing pool in the back yard was great, but it was in the wrong spot. We grew the back of the house out with a two-story covered porch with two fireplaces, as well as new interior basement space. That pushed the new pool to the rear corner of the yard. And to accompany the new pool we added a new pool house with a garage on the ground level, and a future ADU above.
Construction is never a smooth process, but when the general contractor fell through with his obligations, this dedicated owner picked up the mantle himself…no small feat! The result is testament to the vision and hard work of the owner.
